The goal was to build a text adventure where players could interact with a world run entirely by artificial intelligence.

The origins

From one bartender to a world

01 · proof of concept

Project Barkeeper

At first there was Bob — a bartender able to do nothing but talk to the player.

Good intentions, not quite enough. But the proof of concept was done.

02 · interaction

Project Mudai

Bob evolved into John — still a bartender, but far more complex.

John could "use" the player's inventory. We could finally build a city around him.

03 · the world

Project Brexinton

More NPCs, with different roles and voices. Loot and combat built around the Forest.

Then we added a Game Master and a Quest Master.
